Pierre Verdier nous re\u00e7oit dans une grande salle de r\u00e9union au 4\u00e8me sans ascenseur un jour de canicule. Un flip chart rapidement \u00e9limin\u00e9 contient encore les r\u00e9flexions de la derni\u00e8re r\u00e9union\u2026 L\u2019ambiance est plut\u00f4t cool mais on sent que \u00e7a travaille !<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=&#8221;3_4,1_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.2.2&#8243;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;3_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.2.2&#8243;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.2.2&#8243; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #03ccbc;\">Une start-up technologique<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Issu du monde de l\u2019IT, ancien responsable du p\u00f4le h\u00f4tellerie de ventes-priv\u00e9es.com apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 directeur des ventes chez groupon.com \u00e0 Paris, Pierre Verdier a r\u00e9cemment repris la direction de Deliveroo Belgique. Rien d\u2019\u00e9tonnant lorsque l\u2019on sait que l\u2019entreprise anglaise, pr\u00e9sente en Belgique depuis \u00e0 peine 4 ans, est avant tout une start-up\u00a0technologique.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pierre Verdier<\/strong> : \u00ab L\u2019internet a d\u00e9cupl\u00e9 l\u2019envie de voyager des gens. Du jour au lendemain les clients ont pu d\u00e9couvrir de nouvelles destinations, comparer les offres, mais \u00e9galement comparer les prix. Il s\u2019agissait d\u2019offrir une \u00e9norme vitrine promotionnelle pour le secteur du tourisme \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Et de fait, c\u2019est un peu aussi ce qu\u2019apporte Deliveroo au monde de l\u2019horeca : une sorte de vitrine promotionnelle accompagn\u00e9e de la vente des billets (sauf qu\u2019ici ce n\u2019est pas le voyageur qui se d\u00e9place mais le livreur et que celui-ci ne se d\u00e9place pas en avion mais \u00e0 v\u00e9lo !)<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019un des principaux acteurs du march\u00e9 de la livraison de repas \u00e0 domicile, Deliveroo, ne cesse pourtant de se remettre en question et de revoir les algorithmes permettant de calculer au mieux les trajets des coursiers. Un trajet n\u2019est pas l\u2019autre, le terrain est plus plat ou plus accident\u00e9, les arr\u00eats plus ou moins fr\u00e9quents. Il s\u2019agit de rentabiliser les d\u00e9placements bien \u00e9videmment mais aussi d\u2019\u00e9pargner les coursiers. Les plats \u00e0 livrer sont diff\u00e9rents \u00e9galement : certains comme les frites (Belgique oblige !) doivent se livrer dans le quart d\u2019heure maximum pour rester chaudes. Plus complexe qu\u2019il n\u2019y para\u00eet !<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/horecamagazine.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/deliveroo3-scaled.jpg&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.2.2&#8243;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.2.2&#8243; min_height=&#8221;449px&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #03ccbc;\">Partenaire des restaurateurs<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Au cours de l\u2019entretien, Pierre Verdier nous reprend \u00e0 plusieurs reprises : Deliveroo ne voit pas les restaurateurs comme des \u2018clients\u2018 mais bien comme des \u2018partenaires\u2019. La start-up se pr\u00e9sente en effet comme un facilitateur d\u2019affaires, un v\u00e9ritable partenaire du restaurant, l\u2019objectif commun \u00e9tant de satisfaire le client final, le consommateur.<\/p>\n<p>Deliveroo se place donc au carrefour entre le consommateur, le restaurant et bien entendu les coursiers. Si la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 dessert actuellement un peu plus de 2.000 restaurants en Belgique, Deliveroo se d\u00e9marque aussi par l\u2019emploi d\u2019environ 2500 coursiers et re\u00e7oit tous les mois plus de 1000 demandes de personnes qui d\u00e9sirent le devenir !<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #03ccbc;\">Conseils en mati\u00e8re de tendances<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son implantation dans plus de 14 pays (dont bien entendu le Royaume Uni, la France, l\u2019Italie, l\u2019Espagne, les EU, Hong-Kong, Singapour, l\u2019Australie, les Emirats Arabes) et dans plus de 500 villes dans le monde, Deliveroo est naturellement au fait des nouvelles tendances en mati\u00e8re de restauration. Pierre Verdier : \u00ab Nous aidons les restaurants \u00e0 \u00e9tablir le meilleur menu pour l\u2019offre en ligne, les conseillons l\u00e0 o\u00f9 ils en ont besoin, et nous partageons aussi les tendances que nous voyons arriver depuis Paris, Londres ou New York. Certains nous disent que gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 Deliveroo, c\u2019est comme si leur terrasse d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tait ouverte toute\u00a0l\u2019ann\u00e9e \u00bb !<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Alors, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette vitrine internet, les gens mangent-ils plus ? Contrairement aux voyages, non bien s\u00fbr. Il est donc clair que le march\u00e9 des livraisons de repas \u00e0 domicile grignote celui des magasins, des supermarch\u00e9s et m\u00eame de certains restaurants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Les restaurateurs ont donc tout int\u00e9r\u00eat \u00e0 s\u2019adapter ; D\u2019autant que la croissance du march\u00e9 des livraisons \u00e0 domicile modifie pour une part la concurrence existante. Cette tendance a fait appara\u00eetre r\u00e9cemment une nouvelle forme de restauration, dans laquelle des acteurs propri\u00e9taires d\u2019une belle vitrine digitale mais sans v\u00e9ritable restaurant cuisinent des plats uniquement destin\u00e9s \u00e0 la livraison.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><span style=\"color: #03ccbc;\">Amazon<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\">Malgr\u00e9 son d\u00e9veloppement exponentiel, la start-up anglaise aux grandes oreilles n\u2019est pas encore rentable. Heureusement Amazon vient d\u2019entrer pour 18 % au capital et cet apport financier devrait lui permettre d\u2019\u00e9largir encore sa zone d\u2019action. Actuellement seuls les principaux centres urbains sont desservis et il reste \u00e0 couvrir en Belgique de larges zones g\u00e9ographiques.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Nous tentons de savoir si cette entr\u00e9e d\u2019Amazon r\u00e9v\u00e9lerait les pr\u00e9mices de nouveaux corps de m\u00e9tier (livraison de petits colis en m\u00eame temps que les repas par ex. ?) mais apparemment non, rien de tel n\u2019est pr\u00e9vu. Le core business reste le food.
