Lize Willems (30 ans) a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lue Lady Chef de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2024. Elle est cheffe du restaurant Ma \u00adMarraine \u00e0 Tongres, qui a ouvert ses portes il y a tout juste un an.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le prix r\u00e9compense l\u2019excellence, l\u2019innovation et le leadership d\u2019une femme cheffe sur la sc\u00e8ne culinaire belge. L\u2019attention port\u00e9e aux femmes dans la profession de chef est loin d\u2019\u00eatre superflue. Des chiffres r\u00e9cents montrent qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale, moins d\u2019un quart des chefs professionnels sont des femmes.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Tant que ce chiffre reste aussi faible, nous devons continuer de c\u00e9l\u00e9brer les femmes qui travaillent dans le secteur de la restauration. Nous avons besoin de mod\u00e8les inspirants pour promouvoir et garantir l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des chances sur le lieu de travail et dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00bb, d\u00e9clare Femke Vandevelde, journaliste culinaire et pr\u00e9sidente du jury du concours Lady Chef of the year.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est la premi\u00e8re fois que plusieurs femmes sont r\u00e9compens\u00e9es, dans diff\u00e9rentes cat\u00e9gories. Lize Willems (30 ans) a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lue Lady Chef de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2024. La cheffe a impressionn\u00e9 le jury lors du Culinary Challenge, au cours duquel les cinq nomin\u00e9s devaient pr\u00e9parer plusieurs plats. \u00ab Je n\u2019arrive toujours pas \u00e0 croire que j\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lue meilleure femme cheffe de Belgique, mais cette reconnaissance me fait \u00e9norm\u00e9ment plaisir. C\u2019est un travail difficile, d\u2019autant plus que dans mon restaurant, je m\u2019occupe aussi bien de la salle que de la cuisine. Mais \u00eatre cheffe, c\u2019est vraiment ce qu\u2019il y a de mieux \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Slava Tcherbak (38 ans) du restaurant Fleur de Sel \u00e0 Comines est repartie avec le prix Lady Chef Public. Elle a pu compter sur le plus grand nombre de votes du public, ce qui lui fait visiblement plaisir. \u00ab C\u2019est pour mes clients que je suis l\u00e0 jour apr\u00e8s jour avec le sourire, et donc ce prix est pour eux\u00a0!<\/span><\/p>\n

Lady Chef One-to-watch<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n

Les futurs talents ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9compens\u00e9s \u00e0 Bruges. Le prix Lady Chef One-to-watch by Palux a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cern\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois. Ce prix r\u00e9compense une cheffe qui n\u2019est pas encore cheffe de cuisine, mais une force silencieuse indispensable au sein de l\u2019\u00e9quipe de cuisine. Laurence De Smet (25 ans), sous-cheffe au Hof van Cleve, a remport\u00e9 le troph\u00e9e. Enfin, l\u2019\u00e9tudiante la plus prometteuse a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lue, elle qui a sans aucun doute une carri\u00e8re florissante devant elle. Elin Vandenbroucke (16 ans), \u00e9l\u00e8ve chez Spermalie, est la Lady Chef Rookie by Bidfood de 2024.<\/p>\n

Le dernier \u00e9tage du Concertgebouw de Bruges a servi de cadre \u00e0 la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de remise des prix. L\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, le gala s\u2019\u00e9tait \u00e9galement d\u00e9roul\u00e9 dans la capitale de la province de Flandre occidentale.<\/p>\n

Flavourite Bruges \u00e9tait alors \u00e9galement partenaire de Lady Chef of the year. Sous cette banni\u00e8re, l\u2019enseignement, les entrepreneurs, les foodies et les restaurateurs unissent leurs forces pour promouvoir une gastronomie locale et durable. Flavourite Bruges veut faire de cette ville une destination gastronomique de premier plan et, \u00e0 cette fin, organise ou soutient chaque ann\u00e9e un certain nombre de concours et d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements culinaires.<\/p>\n
