Le lundi 26 mai, The Mastercooks of Belgium ont tenu leur Assembl\u00e9e G\u00e9n\u00e9rale annuelle, laquelle a, comme de coutume, attir\u00e9 une foule de participants. Au programme, une r\u00e9trospective, la pr\u00e9sentation du rapport financier annuel, un aper\u00e7u des activit\u00e9s \u00e0 venir et l’intronisation de 13 nouveaux membres.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Mastercooks of Belgium est la plus importante association de topchefs en Belgique. Elle a pour mission de promouvoir la gastronomie belge, d’encourager l’excellence culinaire et de soutenir les jeunes talents. L’association repr\u00e9sente \u00e0 la fois des chefs renomm\u00e9s et de jeunes talents culinaires (Young Masters), et travaille activement \u00e0 la pr\u00e9servation et \u00e0 l’\u00e9volution des traditions culinaires belges.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

L\u2019Assembl\u00e9e G\u00e9n\u00e9rale s’est tenue sur la tr\u00e8s spacieuse terrasse du cinqui\u00e8me \u00e9tage de l\u2019Excellis Experience Center \u00e0 Evere. Dans son discours, Philippe Vanheule, pr\u00e9sident de l’association depuis plus d’un an, a fait le bilan d’une ann\u00e9e riche en \u00e9v\u00e9nements, d’une part en revenant sur les activit\u00e9s annuelles r\u00e9currentes, et d’autre part en r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissant \u00e0 l’engagement du conseil d’administration d’accro\u00eetre la visibilit\u00e9 de l’association et de nouer davantage de liens avec les membres, les fournisseurs, les \u00e9coles h\u00f4teli\u00e8res et les pr\u00e9sidents d’autres associations.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

En compagnie du secr\u00e9taire-g\u00e9n\u00e9ral Daniel Molmans, le pr\u00e9sident a intronis\u00e9 4 nouveaux Mastercooks, dont l’\u00e2ge minimum requis est de 38 ans : Alexis Flament (Sel et Poivre de Hollain), Dean Hoebeeck (Table 22 de Welle), Joris Mylle (Landhuis Molenhof de Westouter) et William Mathijssen (professeur d’h\u00f4tellerie pratique de l’\u00e9cole h\u00f4teli\u00e8re de Gand).<\/p>\n

Par ailleurs, 9 nouveaux Young Masters, dont l\u2019\u00e2ge doit \u00eatre compris entre 25 et 38 ans, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 intronis\u00e9s : Jimmy Boniface (Ch\u00e2teau de Mirwart \u00e0 Saint-Hubert), Glenn De Cock (Biestro H-eat \u00e0 Bornem), Jean-Philippe De Pessemier (Jean-Philippe \u00e0 Ingelmunster), Archibald De Prince (Archibald De Prince \u00e0 Lauterborn), Dimitri Proost (Haut \u00e0 Ostende), Stijn Rotthier (Fortuin \u00e0 Kontich), Glenn Verhasselt (Sir Kwinten \u00e0 Lennik), Thijs Vervloet (Maison Colette \u00e0 Westerlo) et Tim Vervynckt (Compagnique \u00e0 Lievegem). L\u2019association compte \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent au total 174 Mastercooks et Young Masters.<\/p>\n

Les 11 repr\u00e9sentants provinciaux sont Bram Simons pour Anvers, Wouter Van Hoof et An Nelissen pour le Limbourg, Broes Tavernier pour la Flandre orientale, Ivan Verhaeghe pour la Flandre occidentale, Roland Debuyst pour le Brabant flamand, Serge Devreker pour Bruxelles, Jean-Luc Pigneur pour le Brabant wallon, Patrick Celeghin pour Namur, Michel Germeau pour Li\u00e8ge, Fr\u00e9deric Caerdinael pour le Luxembourg et St\u00e9phane Grulois et Vincent Gardinal pour le Hainaut.<\/p>\n
